The Partnership for Interdisciplinary Studies of Coastal Oceans (PISCO) produced
the Science of Marine Reserves booklets in collaboration with the Communication
Partnership for Science and the Sea (COMPASS, www.compassonline.org). PISCO is a consortium of academic scientists at Oregon State University; University of California, Santa Barbara; University of California, Santa Cruz; and Stanford University. PISCO advances the understanding of coastal marine ecosystems and communicates scientific knowledge to diverse audiences.
