Change in North Norfolk Coastal Management Policy

North Norfolk District Council has changed the way by which the North Norfolk coast is managed by instituting a new integrated approach that has just been approved by NNDC councillors at a meeting of the full council.

Around £65,000 of the money left over from a European Pathfinder coastal help scheme, plus the Coastal Erosion Assistance Grant of £60,000, and any income from the Pathfinder replacement housing will be put towards the cost to fund specific coastal projects and resources, including a coastal issues forum that would involve communities with sea frontages to help to move the scheme forward.

The fine and full details of the specific schemes envisaged has yet to evolve.
