David Levy – A Seat At The Table – Aug 17

It’s so dispiriting that even organisations such as the British Legion cannot speak up for dead servicemen if it goes against the will of the current government.

They remain silent, so a licence application for the dredging of the Goodwin Sands on the behalf of the Dover Harbour Board goes through without their objection.

There exists such a thing as right and wrong.

I know the difference but those who gain financially by playing ball with Government appear to have forgotten what they were set up for.

I may be naive and probably am, but I would rather have the guidance of a moral and social compass than be rudderless as I feel most NGOs now are.

I never ever thought I would speak against the British Legion who I have always supported and admired.
