Erosion at Orford Ness

This photograph was taken by Paul England on 18th April ’13. It portrays the erosion at Orford Ness, Suffolk, just 600 metres south of the National Trust barrier.

Paul appended “Storm damage has removed a chunk of sea defences about 700 metres south of the Aldeburgh Martello Tower. This is on National Trust land — I have sent them through to the NT but nothing heard back from them so far. The sea is about 10/15 metres from breaking through to the river with only a pile of loose shingle stopping it!”
