Every day, news broadcasts are barely believable.

In Gaza and Ukraine war is waged on civilians to gain a political edge, and what follows are scenes of devastation. Whole areas of buildings have been razed to the ground, the homes of families. In Gaza, it has been perpetrated by a nation that suffered the Holocaust, its tragic.

Everywhere we question what we are being told because it seems that decisions are being taken on the hoof with little regard to convention and, sometimes, basic civility. I turn the news off because it is so overwhelming and, frankly, frightening.

I once told a friend I thought the Devil was on the planet working to the destruction of mankind, and the Devil was being assisted by the greedy, powerful and corrupt. I see nothing today that dissuades me from this conclusion.

So what is the point of carrying on?

I truly believe that by soldiering on, and focusing on the things we can control, we will emerge into the sunlight once again. We have to buckle down and solve local issues, educate the ill-informed, and be constant in our efforts.

My blog page is for you. It has continuity, discusses serious water-based problems, and suggests forms of action that can shape your lives and give purpose. I would suggest that the “Banning of Bottom Trawling in UK Seas” is a worthy place to start.

It would validate the life of Sir David Attenborough, not that his life needs validation, but what a legacy to build from.

Come on people, it is time to rally our energy for such a cause.
