The promises made when in Opposition are all but vanishing as reality, which keeps this creaking ship afloat, dawns on our new Government.

I walk daily to increase my resilience to every day bugs and viruses, and to try and keep fit. Those who I meet and converse with are already scared by this Government because their choices of cuts have already fallen on the retired. With apprehension, they await the budget to see how much further they will be impacted and whether their pensions will be in the firing line.

These people are really scared about their quality of life under this Labour Party’s stewardship.

Where is the pursuit of all those money making industries who profited from the COVID19 virus?

Silence.

Where are those searching investigations into waste in the NHS?

Again silence.

I for one have been hoping for a new dimension to politics and the running our country. However, the current reality is one where the bureaucrats have got these politicians confused and befuddled because they are advising them how limited their choices are.

They call it ‘House Training Their Minister’, and they seem to be well advanced in the process.

Until concerned people are included at Government level in the review of all aspects of modern life, things will just remain the same and deteriorate further.
