David Levy – Things That Need Changing – Sep 2025

The major problem with “24 hour news” is that it is an insatiable beast, and needs constant feeding. As a result, we never have enough time to reflect and look at how to solve the issues that arise before something else takes precedence.

All the guilty have to do is hunker down, and let time pass by. There is no accountability, and those amongst them who have premeditated their crimes rely on this.

A classic example is the outrageous behaviour of the Executive Board of the Post Office and its handling of the restitutions. The innocent are the sufferers and the system is deliberately slow, waiting for the deaths of the victims. Meanwhile, the Japanese company that knew it was doing wrong escapes from any culpability, even though it acknowledges its part in the crime.

Until the victims are part of the evaluation, then the system just rattles along with little sign that things will change.

I truly believe that we are in the ‘Age of Worldwide Fraud’ with systems tottering on the brink of collapse, and if we do not start addressing fundamental issues then something cataclysmic will happen. I strongly suggest that we address the basics:

1. How we produce food without poisoning our environment.

2. How we find uses for waste instead of poisoning the air and polluting the water.

3. How we use the wonders of Nature to produce our energy needs without producing waste that we have to store, or have difficulty disposing of.

4. That we honestly engage with the public on issues that affect them. For example, the National Health Service cannot provide for all the health needs of the nation, so people have to take more responsibility for optimising their own health.

As a nation, we have become mesmerised by the media into believing we are detached from the realities of this easy life that we have settled for.

Unless things change, I predict that within my lifetime the edifice will collapse and many will die as a consequence.
